Women from 24 to 49 years old are the biggest target demographic for personal trainers, and yet, they are often the most neglected demographic. And if they aren't neglected, then they are often put into training programs/classes that are contraindicated for their goals, which are to look good and feel good. If you want your female clients to look good and feel good over the long haul, they MUST be strength training, and they must be doing it correctly. They also must be eating the right foods at the right times to help them meet their goals as quickly as possible without feeling deprived. Finally, your female clients must be managing their stress and taking care of themselves outside of the gym, so they can recover properly, and train hard when they are in the gym. Jim Laird, J&M Strength & Conditioning
Jim Laird has been working as a strength coach helping clients achieve their goals since 1997. He has 4 years of Division 1 coaching experience, and over a decade of working with clients in the private sector. He has worked with everyone from housewives who just want to look good and feel good, to professional athletes in the NFL, LPGA, and MLB; his most notable client being Scott Downs who is currently with the Los Angeles Angels and is going on his
8th year in the MLB. He has also helped dozens of young athletes achieve athletic scholarships to Division 1 schools.
As an elite level Powerlifter, Jim pushed his body to the limit for years, and now understands the difference between working out to be healthy, and working out to achieve a high level performance goal, and he want to help others do the same.
Jim has a reputation for two things: getting more results from less work, and getting his clients hot, strong, and healthy. Jim’s motto of “Training Smarter, Not Harder” has earned him the respect and recommendation of numerous orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists.
Mike Robertson, Robertson Training Systems
Mike Robertson has been helping clients and athletes from all walks of life to achieve their fitness related goals since 1999. He’s lectured across the world, written for major publications such as Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness and T-Nation, and his gym, Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training, was named one of America’s Top 10 Gyms by Men’s Health magazine in 2009 and 2010.
Also known as “The Corrective Guy,” Mike has made a name for himself by getting and keeping his clients healthy and performing at a high-level. Whether it’s professional and Olympic caliber athletes, or more traditional clients who just want to move and feel better, Mike has made a name for himself in the industry by helping these people get and stay healthy.
Dr. Brooke Kalanick Larson, Licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND)
A licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND), Dr. Brooke attended Seattle, Washington’s Bastyr University, where she earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Dr. Brooke takes a balanced approach to health, using both conventional and alternative therapies. Metabolic nutrition, fat loss, and fitness remain her area of focus and in her Manhattan clinic she primarily treats women with Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism and PCOS – as well as other female hormone imbalances. With these women she works to reset their hormones, their heads, and their habits, so they can finally feel at home in their bodies.
Dr. Brooke has been a guest on Martha Stewart Living Radio, featured in the New York Times, and is an expert for a variety of print and online publications including iVillage, and the following magazines: Women’s Health, Fitness, Allure, and Health.

Eva T., 2-Time Olympian in Alpine Skiing
Eva T. is a 2-time Olympian in Alpine Skiing (Albertville and Lillehammer) and a 12 year veteran of the U.S. Ski Team. She has won 6 National Championships, won a world Championship Bronze Medal, and is a World Technical Skiing Champion. She also is a Masters Weightlifting Champion.
In 2011, she was inducted to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. She is now sharing her knowledge and experiences from her athletic career in the health and fitness realm. As a sought-after coach and consultant, she offers her services online as well as in person to help people experience their highest quality of life!
Molly Galbraith, Girls Gone Strong
Molly Galbraith is a rapidly rising young trainer who is quickly making a name for herself in the fitness industry. She is a strength coach and co-owner of J&M Strength and Conditioning, a rapidly expanding, private studio gym in Lexington, Kentucky that’s quickly becoming the go-to place for professional athletes and the general public alike. In less than 18 months, they have moved from renting space at a local gym, to opening their own 7,500 sq. foot facility.
Molly is also co-founder of the wildly popular Girls Gone Strong group, a movement dedicated to changing the way women train. She has also been an expert contributor to magazines like Oxygen and Experience Life.
No stranger to the gym herself, she has competed in both figure and powerlifting and her best lifts include a 275 lb. squat, a 165 lb. bench press, and a 341 lb. deadlift.
Her mission is to, “Help women give themselves grace and compassion when it comes to their bodies, and to help them discover and accept what their best body looks like, with minimal time and effort.”
Sarah Fragoso, Everyday Paleo
It all started with a blog where Sarah would share her own experiences, challenges and successes. Almost six years ago she struggled to regain her own health and wellness until she learned about the Paleo lifestyle. She not only regained her own health but significantly improved the health and well-being of her family of five.
Long story short, her blog, EverydayPaleo.com, turned into a book deal and today Sarah is a National Best Selling Author. Her latest book release is Everyday Paleo: Around the World Italian Cuisine, is found wherever books are sold.
Paying it forward Sarah continues to blog, respond to emails, communicate through Facebook, conduct nationwide seminars, and work closely with the Naval Special Warfare community teaching nutrition and fitness. As a Strength and Conditioning Coach she also co-owns the fitness and nutrition site, EverydayLifeFit.com and reaches out with her highly rated iTunes podcast, Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness.
Sarah finds strength in her family, a Paleo lifestyle, and sharing with others. Her message is from the heart and she carries a genuine desire to help other Paleo families looking for guidance. These attributes have contributed to her successes and provide the drive to help others own their choices and commit to a healthier lifestyle.
Joel Jamieson, 8 Weeks Out
Joel Jamieson is widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost authorities on strength and conditioning for combat sports. He has more than 8 years of experience working with many of the top fighters from all over the world and has trained over 30 of the biggest names in MMA, including 8 world champions. He has served as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Pride FC, Dream FC and worked as a consultant for countless top level teams and organizations.
Joel is also the founder of 8weeksout.com, author of the highly acclaimed book, “Ultimate MMA Conditioning,” and creator of the BioForce HRV Training Management System. He is a highly sought after speaker and is a regularly featured contributor to Fight! Magazine, and Fighting Fit (UK).
Dr. Pete Hester, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Pete Hester is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree in 1989 at the University of Pennsylvania, and his MD at the University of Kentucky in 1995. He went on to complete both his Residency and part of his Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in 2000 and 2002, respectively. The first half of his Fellowship in Sports Medicine was completed at The Hughston Clinic, in Columbus, Georgia in 2001.
He provides services in general orthopedic, shoulder, sports medicine, workers compensation, and surgical procedures. Dr. Hester's professional interests include sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, injuries of the shoulder and knee, shoulder reconstruction and complex knee ligament reconstruction.
Along with our world class speakers, we have a talented group of coaches that will be active during the essential hands-on portions of the seminar.
For those who are flying, the closest airport is in Lexington, Blue Grass Airport (LEX). That being said, Louisville (SDF) and Cincinnati (CVG) airports are only an hour away. Check airfare for those cities as well, just plan on needing a rental car to make the drive to Lexington.
